iPhone Fever: Will it Work in India?

The long wait has finally come to an end. Apple's iPhone is now in India. But the entry got a mixed or rather unhappy reaction. The price is quite high. It's really disappointing for the iPhone seekers. The mobile phone is available at Rs. 31000/- and Rs. 36000/- in the Indian market. Advance booking with Vodafone costs you Rs. 5000/- extra and Airtel Rs. 10000/-.

As if this is not enough, the Apple iPhone is being complained to have a number of drawbacks. I heard that text messaging in the iPhone is not so user-friendly. A friend of mine said there is no forward messaging option in iPhone. Bluetooth sharing is also not so comfortable. You can share your files via Bluetooth only when you pair the handset with a Bluetooth headset. And the worst. I heard that the in-built camera does not support video recording.

With the sky-high price, I don't think Apple iPhone will make much among the common mass here. Although it would be expecting positive response from the business class.

However, it seems Apple iPhone is still a luxury item in India. Long way to go.
